Graham Newman MRes RCA, PGCHE, FRSA is an executive innovation design consultant and founder of Design School Asia. He has 25+ years professional practice in Asia Pacific with expertise in customer and product experience, research and development, learning and development programs, digital and service design and building new business verticals.

Graham started his design career at Factory Records and The Haçienda nightclub in Manchester–bridging design, technology and culture that included development of the world’s first interactive music CD-Rom. Graham’s innovation design perspective is forged by his visual communication studies at the London College of Printing and his Masters of Research at the Royal College of Art. He has bumped into design thinking from time to time over the last decade but maintains that innovation is about non-disruptive incremental steps, then post-rationalising what it’s all about.

Graham holds a PGCert in Higher Education from Falmouth University where his aptitude in blended/flexible learning environments was grounded. Graham was awarded Fellowship of the The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) in 2017. He is a member of the Thailand Institute of Directors Association and a Professor of Communication Design at Chulalongkorn University.

Graham hosts the Hacking Kaizen podcast. Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all other major audio streaming services.
